The Palms Hotel | Miami Wedding Venue

Ok so I’m a day late with today’s venue spotlight. I hope you all forgive me….

This week Jessica (JCG Events), Travis & I visited the beautiful Palms Hotel. And I do mean beautiful.

The Palms has this old world charm that makes you just want to to sit, relax and forget the world for awhile.

When you first arrive the entrance makes a spectacular impression. I loved the HUGE doors and I thought the outside sitting areas would make a great place for pictures!

Let’s start out with Travis’ super fantastic 30 second video. (I like adjectives today.)

If you’re looking for a wedding venue the next place you’re headed is the gazebo area. This gazebo is well known to wedding vendors and very popular with couples. Lots of lush vegetation and beautiful grand entrance (down the stairs, down the aisle) to your ceremony make this location seem almost magical.

Up above the gazebo is a huge patio where couples can host their cocktail hour or even the whole reception. A beautiful wall of glass doors along the north side allow access straight into the ballroom. Open them up and you have a truly indoor/outdoor wedding reception location!palms hotel wedding venuepalms hotel wedding venue

As a photographer I was delighted with the abundance of amazing locations that are everywhere to be found. From the beach, to the boardwalk, to the beautiful beach access gate, and even lots of hideaways inside the inspiration is abundant. Running out of ideas is just not possible!

This natural light relaxation room is where they do the makeup application for weddings. This is a a photographers dream!!

I’ve got a thing for beautiful staircases! Add in some beautiful light and we have a winner, baby!

Eden Roc | Miami Wedding Venue

Welcome to today’s Venue Spotlight!!! Together with Jessica of JCG Events we are bringing you a new venue every week! Our post will be from a very visual point of view.  But, don’t forget to check out the JCG blog for a the wedding planner’s point of view.

I am so excited to show you the amazing awesomeness that is the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel! There are so many wedding venues in Miami, FL  but,  I knew this venue would shoot to the top of my favorites list when I spotted the Starbucks Coffee right inside the front doors! HEAVEN!

Located in the heart of Miami beach next door to the Foutainebleau, the Eden Roc is a stunning, newly remodeled hotel that is perfect for a beautiful wedding, an intimate beach side ceremony, or even awesome conventions and meetings. It still retains a lot of the original features such as a beautiful marble staircase, shining bronze elevators and the original ballroom that featured amazing Hollywood stars like the Rat Pack and Nat King Cole!

Weddings can be held in one their several ballrooms however the most popular locations are right outside in a beautiful grassy area framed by palm trees or even right on the beach. This speaks to my heart as I love the feel of the sun on my face and sand between my toes. I think when we renew our vows it will be on a beach…. but I digress. On to the pictures….

This is main lobby of the hotel and I love, love, love!  Everywhere I looked there was another opportunity for fun, beautiful pictures!

The rooms are just a beautiful!  This would be my absolutely first choice for an awesome boudoir session!  Beautiful natural light, awesome furniture, and luxurious white linens.

A wrap around balcony available to wedding  couples is a perfect location for a stunning city backdrop (especially at sunset) and a beautiful ocean backdrop as well.  I also loved it for a completely private first meet location!

There is also amazing indoor locations for great pictures and intimate moments.  From the obvious beautiful places to the hidden gems and nooks and crannies.

For an awesome rehearsal dinner how about this restaurant that is the closet restaurant to the beach in all of Miami!  Normally they aren’t allowed to be this close to the ocean but since it was built before the regulations its allowed to stay as a historic landmark.

This lawn is a beautiful place for an outdoor ceremony.  Its huge and can be dressed up in all different ways.

And of course, it’s all just a few steps from the beach!  It can’t get better than that!

To really get a feel for the Eden Roc it just wouldn’t be complete without one of Travis’ amazing videos!

Villa 221 | Miami Wedding Venue

Ok, listen carefully.  I’m about to tell you all about Miami’s best kept secret awesome-ness!  It surprised me and I know you are going to love it!

Introducing Villa 221! An amazing wedding venue right in the heart of Miami that has history, class, beauty, culture, and tons of space!

When we first got there I couldn’t believe that this little gem was hiding out in plain sight!  It’s a beautiful turn of the century Villa that has been restored with original floors and a beautiful courtyard.  It can accommodate weddings of up to 400 seated depending on where you would like to be.  Personally I love the idea of a stunning outdoor ceremony and reception.  It just couldn’t be more perfect.

One of my favorite parts of the Villa is this sun room.  Look at this beautiful red couch!  Not to mention the gorgeous doors, stunning natural light and beautiful sheer curtains.  It’s a photographers dream!

I love these stairs !  The original flooring has been restored and looks amazing!

The upstairs is a beautiful loft space that could easily fit 150-200 people.

I call this one “Headless Cinematographer”.

Want to see more?  Of course you do!  Check out the video!

I hope you enjoyed this hidden gem as much as I did!
