Think back to when you were 15-years-old. Now, if you’re not a guy, try and think like a guy. What’s on your mind at that age? Marriage? Not a chance, right?

Don’t tell that to Jeff. When he was a teen he got the opportunity to hang out with Susanna for a summer, and the prospect of marriage definitely crossed his mind. In fact, in historic “Joe Namath” style, he made a prediction to Susanna’s cousin. On the 14th of August this year he made good on that prediction and married the love of his life.

Jeff and Susanna are two of the nicest people you could ever meet, and we couldn’t be happier for them. Take a moment and enjoy the trailer for their upcoming cinematic wedding feature.

Andre + Jennifer | The Preview Trailer

When we arrived in California for Andre and Jennifer’s wedding, the weather caught us a bit off guard. Transitioning from 100-degree heat to 55-degree cold is quite a shock. Throw in some low-hanging clouds, a brisk ocean breeze and a frigid mist drifting through the air and you have a pretty unique and chilly atmosphere.

So we knew without a doubt that we wanted the preview trailer to reflect this moody scene. But we also needed to showcase the grand venue that the Ritz-Carlton is. The bride, Jennifer, grew up in the Half Moon Bay area and witnessed the birth of the Ritz. For her, the location was very important, and for us it was really another character on the wedding day.

All of this came together to inspire the following preview trailer. Enjoy!

Hanging with the Best | WEVA 2010

So this blog post is coming to you from the great state of FLORIDA!!!

No, we haven’t moved yet. We are here in Orlando at the Dolphin Resort at Walt Disney World for the 20th Annual WEVA Convention. This where all the best of the best wedding cinematographers come to learn, grow, compete, and spend money!

This year, Travis was asked to speak and he will be doing an awesome seminar tomorrow on video editing. The title is “Editing is Sexy Too!” However, as much as the title may lead you to think not, he will, sadly, be wearing his shirt still. I think it would be MUCH sexier without it!

Anyway, more on that to come later but for today I thought you all might like to see a picture from our room. Apparently, Florida heard we were coming and decided to pay a little practical joke and took away the sun!!!

A big shout out to Nicole Lisanne who did the coordinating. She did a spectacular job and we just loved working with her!

Andre + Jennifer | The Ritz @ Half Moon Bay

I love getting the opportunity to shoot in new places! I’m not quite ADD but I do get antsy so see, do, try something different. And when that something different is a stunningly beautiful couple at a stunningly beautiful location my heart beats a bit faster.

So you know, a cloudy day is a photographers dream. So if you wake up to a clouds on your wedding day, don’t fret. Just means your pictures will be even more beautiful! Another photographer I really admire once referred to cloudy days as “God’s softbox”, and I totally agree.

Although we had talked via phone several times we hadn’t actually met Andre and Jennifer until the day before the wedding. But no worries as they were just as wonderful as we had imagined, maybe even more! Jennifer impressed me so much with her grace and maturity. She is just so classy! Andre just made the whole experience wonderful, you can’t help but have a good time when you are with him. I was constantly laughing

And together, they really were perfect. An amazing combination of personalities that seemed destined to be 2 parts of a whole. My favorite part of observing them as a couple, was that Andre seemed to approach each minute together as a chance to make Jennifer smile. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.

Andre & Jennifer, thank you for making us feel so welcome and letting us into your world. I am not surprised that you have so many close friends and family as anyone who meets you can’t help but love you!

I hope you enjoy these images just as much as I do!

All the little touches of bling was just enough! It was so beautiful!Work it girl!

Aren’t these guys handsome?Jennifer choose her mother to be her Matron of Honor! Now THAT is an amazing mother-daughter relationship.

The rocking wedding party dance was a hoot! They were having so much fun it made me want to jump on the dance floor!

I thought you all might like to see a sneak peak from Jeff & Susanna’s wedding this past Saturday. Well you are in luck!!!!

Now, usually I post a sneak peak of a portrait or the bride and groom. But this time I thought I’d post something totally different! This picture is of a most elusive of wedding creatures…..the shy flower girl! Bella was the extremely sweet, beautiful, but shy flower girl for Jeff and Susanna. She was very well behaved during the long ceremony and had me thoroughly impressed!

Doug + Jill | Shore Lodge

Most weddings have lots of people, fun and excitement.

But, every once in awhile you get to be part of something intimate and special. Where only a select few are invited to take part and be a witness.

And so I felt extremely honored to be asked to capture this amazing day for Doug and Jill at Shore Lodge in McCall. The weather was perfect. The lake was calm. The view was magnificent. The timing was perfect. And the couple was saying their vows framed by the mountains and lake with their nearest and dearest there to take part.

I sincerely enjoyed every minute of the day! Congrats Doug and Jill. May every day be as perfect as this one was.

I think suspenders rock!

My favorite part of Jill’s beautiful bridal suite was this amazing WINDOW!!! Really I think I drooled. And when I put Jill in the window? Perfection!!!

Jill so sooooo stunning! I loved her dress, shoes and her whole look. Isn’t she amazing?

Doug wasn’t half bad either!

I just think blended families are amazing! Congrats to all of you guys! Don’t fight too much with your new siblings!

Andre + Jennifer | Sneak Peak

We had the great pleasure of doing photography and cinematography for Andre & Jennifer’s wedding in Half Moon Bay, CA this last weekend. It was an absolutely amazing event.
