“How does he look?” she asks. “Fantastic.” I reply. And he really does. And she looks AMAZING. And it ‘s almost the moment. That amazing moment where the whole world slows down and it all comes together. The part of the day that I most look forward too. Because this day is all about these to people and their connection. Their time together. And that moment where he sees her for the first time and the world stands still and no one is there to disrupt it, is a moment they will remember forever.
It’s the stuff romantic comedies are made of. Boy meets girl at med school. Assigned to same study group but of course boy often doesn’t show up. To early ya know? But just like in the movies, it all comes together. A month long study retreat, a dinner date, and chemistry and sparks turn friendship into something more.
But, don’t forget I promised you a romantic comedy. Fast forward a few years to NYC. Christmas eve and Matt is working late at the hospital so Stacy picks him (can you see the movie scene here?). But he has Christmas present for her. I’ll give you a hint. It’s sparkly and pretty and she can wear it on her left hand for the rest of her life.
To Stacy and Matt, as a HUGE fan of romantic movies your story makes me smile and sigh and believe in Happily Ever After. Your wedding was perfectly you, your family a friends were a treat and your love I witnessed is a gift to whoever meets you.
