Dachshund Rescue Winterfest

Beware: This blog post has so much cuteness that you may be on a sugar high for the rest of the week!

So last weekend I had the great pleasure of donating my time and talent to the South Florida Dachshund Rescue for their annual Winterfest! It was touch and go as we weren’t sure the rain was going to hold off but it all actually worked out perfectly.

OMG! I had no idea how many dachshunds were going to show up for this awesome event. They were everywhere! And they were simply adorable.

We had a doggie-size photo set where we were taking adorable pics of amazingly cute dogs for a $10 donation to the rescue.

Let me share some of my favorites.

This is Mali. Mali is the lovable German Shepard mix who is doggie child of my good friend Jessica Masi of JCG Events.

Jessica was hanging out that day with her mom who brought the beautiful Lolita.  Lolita loves the camera.

Probably the most photographed of the day was this little cutie.  At only 1 month old I just couldn’t contain myself as I was just addicted to his little face!  Isn’t he adorable.

The rest of these are some of my favorites of the day.  Can’t you just see all the different personalities?

And my favorite picture of the day!!!  LOL!

How’s your blood sugar doing at this point?  Still have a sweet tooth?  Great!  Check out a quick slideshow of our day on the beach:)

Coral Gables Country Club | Site Visit

So last week we had the pleasure of getting to check out the newly remodeled Coral Gables Country Club.  I have to say we were very impressed!   And I brought back pictures to share with you all!

Originally constructed in 1924, the Coral Gables Country Club still retains that historic beauty fashioned after George Merrick “Mediterranean Rivera” theme.

There are 2 gorgeous location choices inside this beautiful venue.  Both offer something different and will appeal to a different style of bride.

We first checked out the atrium room where I immediately fell in love.  Perfect for weddings of 150-200 guests, the Atrium room has 2 levels (second level just slightly raised) as well as access to the poolside area.  The floor to ceiling windows make the room seem even bigger than it is while still providing that intimate-ness that is amazing for a wedding.

I really can’t decide what I love more….the stunning arches that grace the whole room or the absolutely amazing chandeliers!!!

If a bigger space is what you need then look no further than the ballroom.  As i walked in I immediately loved the warm lighting, wood floors, and absolutely stunning chandeliers.  Outside the ballroom doors is a beautiful lobby, perfect for an elegant cocktail hour.  There is a beautiful grand piano, black marble floors and stunning art graces the walls.

These are the doors that lead to the amazing ballroom!  I just love the amazing texture, and the unique handles!  And couldn’t just imagine a wonderful pianaist providing the perfect background music?

There is not only 1, but 2 bars in the foyer so that your guests don’t have to all crowd around one!

This is the main entrance to the building which is just as amazing as the interior.  Want to really blow your guests away?  Offer free valet parking so all guests have to do pull into the beautiful entrance and immediately join the celebration!

And of course, the grand ballroom!  Isn’t it stunning??  I can already imagine a beautiful event with uplighting on the columns and beautiful centerpieces.   A bit like a fairytale.

So I hope you enjoyed my little tour of this amazing venue.  If you would like your own tour or are interested in booking it for your event please contact Jannette Alix here.
