To all we love | Auld Lang Syne

As we come to the end of this 2010 I am full of mixed emotions.  I dearly miss friends and loved ones that we have left behind.  And I am so looking forward to what it is to come.

Today I learned (thanks to Wikipedia) that  the song Auld Lang Syne is a Scottish poem that is loosely translated as “for (the sake of) old times”.  It’s quite amazing to me that even though I didn’t know that before today, I still did actually know what it meant.  And as that song plays through my head today, I am remembering all our friends and family that we miss so greatly.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

So in honor of all of you wonderful people, I have finally gotten around to all the crazybooth pictures from our going away party.  I am so thankful that you all made this night one of the absolute best of our lives.  From dinner to dancing, to hugging, to tearful goodbyes, to 2am chats at the Microsoft offices, we loved every minute.

So as you enjoy these pictures today, think of us, and tonight have a drink and toast to friendship and love.  You are all in our hearts.

First, a few of my favorites….

My niece and I:)  I miss her terribly but aren’t we cute?

Apparently Travis can fly!  Wow!

4 Siblings, 1 niece, 1 husband all accounted for.  Looking at the camera is just too much to ask for.

This is what they picked out for their Jamaican wedding next year.:)

Good friends have your back….and your drink!

Sorry I just don’t have any words for this one…

These two have made my brides, my models and myself look pretty all year long.  Absolutely the best!

My TWIN!  No really. Ask our husbands.

This one just made me crack up and is so accurate.

Uh-oh!  I think he got her!  This is Brandon and Brooke, one of our awesome wedding couples,  and I am so humbled that they came to our party.  We love have these kind of relationships!

Yo!  Sorry guys, you’re still white….

Thank you, Morgan, for scrunching down so you don’t make me look short.  I really do appreciate it.

This picture pretty much sums up the whole night!

Ok so want to see them all?  Here you go!

Want prints?  Ok I’ve done ultra cheap, below cost prints for you HERE!

The facebook gallery will be up later today!

To all our friends old and new, to our family, and to our wonderful readers…..HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The Knot Appreciation Event | JCG Events

We recently got the opportunity to partner with the beautiful and oh-so-talented Jessica Masi of JCG Events as she designed and coordinated the annual networking and thank you event but on by The Knot for South Florida wedding & maternity vendors.

The event was a major success thanks in no small part to the great direction of Jessica.  The event was held at the Moore Building which is located in the heart of the Miami Design District.   The building is the perfect event space for a modern, urban, classy bride.  The interiors feature a grand staircase and and 3 stories with an amazing sculpture suspended in the center.

The Event started the garden right to the side of the building.  After a short cocktail hour all the party goers moved inside to main event.  On the first floor was the a beautiful bar set up (Liquor provided by Grey Goose)  in the center with 2  refreshment tables to the front and back provided by Parties by Pat.  A couple of lounge areas (provided by Room Service and Taylor Creative) and cocktail tables completed the 1st floor. The linens provided The Linen Factory were great and Petal Productions did an amazing job with the florals.

The second floor featured some other amazing vendors including Edda’s Cake Designs with these beautiful cakes.

Tea Time Cakes produces lots of yummy goodies including miniature cakes!  Adorable!

Cold Stone Creamery has their usual wonderful ice cream creations in addition to their new venture with Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and they were previewing their to-die-for candy apples.

Cake O’Licious was delivering the richest most amazing cake balls.  Mmmmmm…..

And after all that sugary goodness it was so perfect to have wonderful coffee drinks by Aroma Espresso. As you can see, the party wasn’t too good for calorie management but I tried to forget about the scale:)

Props also go out to Premiere Xtras for the great audio visual set up, Junior’s Entertainment Group for the live music, Party Sparks for the amazing lighting, Innovative Invitations for the great stationary designs and Ever After for bringing stunning wedding dresses to set the tone.
